Homeroom Parents

The Head Homeroom Parent for a grade is the “project manager” for a specific class for the school year.

Head Homeroom Parent responsibilities include:

  • Acting as a liaison between HASA and parents
  • Sending emails to parents to volunteer for class parties (Head Homeroom Parent is not responsible for attending/volunteering at all parties; they are responsible for finding volunteers)
  • Communicating with the teacher regarding class parties/other needs
  • Collecting money for class gifts for the teacher (usually holiday and end of year)
  • Posting some on social media (specifically, the class Facebook page)

In order to volunteer for any event at the school, you need your clearances: https://www.haverford.k12.pa.us/departments/department-of-pupil-services/volunteer-information-clearances

  • Valentine’s Day: February 14
  • End of School: June
