SEPT 14/19

Back to School Night

Sept. 14 - K-2nd Grade // Sept. 19 - 3rd-5th Grade. This is a school-run event where you meet and hear from your child’s teachers. HASA also has information available about volunteering, people to answer questions, and people to collect your dues.

September Mums Fundraiser

MUMS SALE! Decorate your porch and support HASA! We are selling mums again this year. Each Mum is $8. Order information to come soon!!

OCT 2-6

Spirit Week/
Bark-A-Palooza

Chatham Park’s school spirit week which ends with the Bark-A-Palooza pep rally on Friday Oct 6th. Chatham students and staff participate in a fun day filled with bulldog pride. Tshirt Order information to come soon.

OCT 9-16th

Chatham Park Boosterthon and Fun Run

OCT 6 - EVENING

Movie Night (Friday night of Bark-A-Palooza!)

This is the night of Bark-a-Palooza. Chatham families are invited to the front field of the school to set up blankets, chairs, and dinner. Order a pizza or bring something from home. Once it gets dark, there is a movie projected on an outdoor screen for the whole family to enjoy.

OCT 31

HASA's Pumpkin Decorating Contest

Decorate and display your pumpkin! All are welcome to join. This is a fun event and a great time with Chatham Families! More info to come!

DEC 2

Winter Pancake Breakfast

This is a social event and fundraiser that occurs in December. Families are invited to come to the school cafeteria and enjoy a pancake breakfast. Very fun for the whole family.

FEB 9

Someone Special Dance for 3-5th Grade

3rd to 5th Graders: Bring your Special Adult / Someone Special to a dance! This was huge hit last year. Evening is full of dancing, music, cotton candy, photobooth and fun! More info to come soon.

FEB 26-MARCH 1

Scholastic Book Fair

HASA hosts a Scholastics Book Fair in the library. Proceeds from the book fair go to Chatham’s library. Lots of fun for the kids. Lots of fun for the adult volunteers. If you can help out -- great event!

MARCH 13

Science Fair

Science Fair is for 4th and 5th Grades.

Kids come up with their science fair ideas and then all gather to show off their experiments!

APRIL

Running Club - Grades K-5

Running club is a program for K-5th graders held in the spring. Parent volunteers hold running club once a week after school at Chatham on a day that works for them. You can love or hate running to volunteer. Running coach clubs provide all the help you need with ideas for activities, routes, and things that have worked well in the past. Students meet weekly after school and hopefully are able to show off their skills at the annual Maniac Magee Run.

APRIL

Staff Appreciation Week

This is the week that we get to show the teachers and staff at Chatham just how much we love them and how grateful we are for all that they do to help our children learn and grow. We provide meals, raffles, faculty room food, etc.  Information will go out in April for how you can help celebrate our amazing and talented faculty and staff.

MAY 3

Chatham's Got Talent! Show

HASA hosts a Scholastics Book Fair in the library. Proceeds from the book fair go to Chatham’s library. Lots of fun for the kids. Lots of fun for the adult volunteers. If you can help out -- great event!

MAY 15

Field Day

This is a school-run event that Mr. Schaffer, the PE teacher, will send out information about in May. Parents are invited to watch the Red Team vs. White Team festivities from the sidewalk surrounding the school.

MAY 18

Maniac Magee Family Fun Run - Benefits Homeless
 

This event happens in May. It is a family run/walk that raises money for a food bank in Norristown. Day of Registration is at 8:00am, race starts at 9:00am, and the awards ceremony is after the race at around 9:30am.

MAY 18

MayFair - Family Fun Carnival

This is a carnival-like celebration that happens in May on the school’s front  fields. There are food trucks, games, activities, and general merriment aplenty. This is a major fundraiser for HASA. Information regarding how to get wristbands will go out in April.  Please email CPEHASA@gmail.com if you are interested in helping out in any capacity.

JUNE 12

5th Grade Unity Day

This is a party at the end of the school year for Chatham’s 5th graders to meet 5th graders from the other four elementary schools in the district. Students start their day with an abridged “day in the life” of a 6th grader at the middle school and end the day with organized games and social activities.
