Chatham Park HASA Events, FUNdraisers & Volunteer Opportunities
HASA is a 100% parent-volunteer-run organization, and our events are made possible by the time, ideas, and energy of our Chatham Park community. Throughout the school year, HASA hosts a variety of events and activities designed to enrich our students’ school experience, create lasting memories, and bring our families and community together.
Simply put, the more our community gets involved, the more we can do for our students! Whether you have an hour to lend a hand, want to help behind the scenes, or are ready to take the lead on an event, there’s a way for everyone to contribute.

CLUBS
3 SESSIONS ANNUALLY
HASA runs afterschool clubs led by our very own, Chatham Teachers! It's a great way for kids to enjoy a relaxed, and fun, social time after school.
DANCE-A-THON
OCTOBER 16th
A high-energy, student-favorite fundraising dance event filled with music and community pride. This is a 100% volunteer run event – and last year we raised $18,640. From the festive red-and-white outfits to the energy on the front lawn, it was a day filled with joy, community spirit, and meaningful impact. Volunteers help with setup, check-in, decorations, refreshments, and event logistics. Families are welcome to spectate.
MOVIE NIGHT
DATE TO BE DETERMINED
Family move night held under the stars, held in conjunction with the Penfield Civic Association. Assist with setup, concessions, activities, or cleanup before and after the movie.
PUMPKIN CARVING CONTEST
FALL
Decorate and display your pumpkin — a fun, low-key event for the whole Chatham family. Volunteers help organize entries, set up displays, or assist with judging and prizes.
YOUNG AUTHOR'S DAY
WINTER
Students meet local authors and discover the fun and creativity behind writing books during their school day. Volunteers help welcome authors, escort visitors, or assist with classroom activities.
ANNUAL PANCAKE BREAKFAST & HOLIDAY MARKET
WINTER
Come out for pancakes and a wonderful "local vendors" holiday market to buy all of those presents! Volunteer your time to make pancakes for the Chatham community, or help organize the holiday market supporting local vendors, often students themselves!
SOMEONE SPECIAL DANCE
(3RD-5TH GRADE)

A memorable evening for 3rd–5th graders and their special adult in the Chatham gym, featuring music, dancing, and light refreshments. Pre-registration is required. Volunteers decorate, check in guests, serve refreshments, and help the evening run smoothly.
TRIVIA NIGHT
WINTER
Gather your fellow Chatham parents and put your knowledge to the test by
joining us for a fun-filled evening — all in support of our school community. This lively night of trivia, prizes, and connection will raise funds for Chatham Park HASA initiatives. Volunteers support planning, sponsorships, registration, raffles, or event setup and cleanup.
SCIENCE FAIR
SPRING
4th and 5th graders design experiments and show off their projects to the school. Kids come up with their science fair ideas and then all gather to show off their experiments! Are you a STEM professional? Volunteer to be a student mentor! Or, help with setup, student check-in, judging coordination, or event logistics.
MAYFAIR AND FUN RUN
SPRING
Mayfair is a carnival-style celebration on the Chatham’s front fields with food, games and activities. Pre-order a pizza and spend the evening with a picnic at Chatham Park. This is our largest volunteer event! Help with planning, games, food, ticket sales, setup, or cleanup.
MANIAC MAGEE
SPRING
This is a community fun run held alongside Mayfair, celebrating fitness and school spirit. Proceeds benefit a local charity. Volunteers requested to assist with registration, course marshaling, water stations, or race-day setup.
TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK
SPRING
Let's celebrate our teachers with a week of small treats for faculty and staff to partake in. Donations are welcome! Want to be involved? Bring creative ideas to life by planning and leading one of five days of Teacher Appreciation Week to help celebrate our incredible staff. This week needs at least five volunteers!
TALENT SHOW
SPRING
Students take the stage to showcase their talents in this beloved spring tradition. Assist backstage, greet families, manage performers, or help with setup and cleanup. Note: This event may shift to the winter.
CAREER DAY
SPRING
Community members visit classrooms to share their careers with students. Share your career or profession with students, or help coordinate presenters.
CULTURE SHARE NIGHT
SPRING
Chatham Families Together presents Culture Share Evening. Take a trip around the world inside our Chatham Community, celebrating the many cultures represented within it. Volunteer to share your family's culture, help coordinate activities, or assist with setup and hospitality.
RUNNING CLUB VOLUNTEERS
SPRING
Support and encourage students participating in the spring running club. Volunteers are needed for every grade level, split between boys and girls, to lead the weekly runs.
5th GRADE MOVING UP CEREMONY*

A special celebration! Help plan and support this special celebration for our graduating fifth graders. Volunteer roles are traditionally filled by 4th grade parents.
Mums Sale - Sept. to Oct.
Decorate your porch, and benefit HASA. This is our fall time fundraiser.

This is a new fundraiser.
Spirit Wear Sale - Fall & Spring
Running in the fall, this is the big sale of Chatham Spirit wear -- just in time for holiday gifts.
Philadelphia 76ers! November 17th @ 7PM
Join us for a fun evening as Chatham Park heads to the Wells Fargo Center to cheer on the Philadelphia 76ers!

Holiday Wreath Sale - November to December
Launching around the holidays, this holiday decorations is held at TADEO's and all purchases benefit HASA.
Make-A-Plate - February
This is a fundraiser that happens in February. Forms and a template are sent home for students to design their own plates.
