Back to School Night - Sept. 19/20
This is a school-run event where you meet and hear from your child’s teachers. HASA also has information available about volunteering, people to answer questions, and people to collect your dues.

Spirit Week/Barkapalooza - Sept. 27-30
Chatham Park’s school spirit week which ends with the Barkapalooza pep rally on Friday. Chatham students and staff participate in a fun day filled with bulldog pride. Order your student's Tshirts by SEPT. 8!! Click here for order form.
Chatham Park Fun Run - Oct. 11 (Sept. 30 Kick-off)
We are excited to kick off our Chatham Park Fun Run on Friday, September 30th. We are partnering with Booster, an organization that promotes fitness, teamwork, and character while helping our school raise some much-needed funds! Our goal is to raise money for new playground equipment and HASA activities. This will strengthen our school community. Every student will get to be included in the program, regardless of financial participation too!

Movie Night - Sept. 30
This is the night of Bark-a-Palooza. Chatham families are invited to the front field of the school to set up blankets, chairs, and dinner. Order a pizza or bring something from home. Once it gets dark, there is a movie projected on an outdoor screen for the whole family to enjoy.
Golden Apple - Oct. 1 - May
This is a HASA- run program that rewards kids with recognition for reading. It starts October 1 and ends March 31. Students fill out forms throughout the process to mark milestones in their progress. Apples marking these milestones are hung on a tree in the hallway in front of the library. At the end of the program, students who completed the challenge get to pick a book from the library in which a book plate with their name honoring their accomplishment will be placed for posterity. The awards will be given in the Spring, more details to follow. This program is in need of volunteers. Please email CPEHASA@gmail.com if you are interested in helping out in any capacity.
HASA's Pumpkin Decorating Contest - Oct. 31
Decorate and display your pumpkin! All are welcome to join. This is a fun event and a great time with Chatham Families!
Pancake Breakfast - Saturday December 3
This is a social event and fundraiser that occurs in December. Families are invited to come to the school cafeteria and enjoy a pancake breakfast. Teachers serve! Very fun for the whole family. Raffle Baskets will be a part of this event - a great time for all!
Someone Special Dance for 3-5th Grade - Feb 10 6-9PM
3rd to 5th Graders: Bring your Special Adult / Someone Special to a dance!
Book Fair - Feb. 24-March 3
HASA hosts a Scholastics Book Fair in the library. Proceeds from the book fair go to Chatham’s library.
This is a school-run event that Mr. Schaffer, the PE teacher, will send out information about in May. Parents are invited to watch the Red Team vs. White Team festivities from the sidewalk surrounding the school.
Maniac Magee Run
This event happens in May. It is a family run/walk that raises money for a food bank in Norristown. Day of Registration is at 8:00am, race starts at 9:00am, and the awards ceremony is after the race at around 9:30am.
This is a carnival-like celebration that happens in May on the school’s front fields. There are food trucks, games, activities, and general merriment aplenty. This is a major fundraiser for HASA. Information regarding how to get wristbands will go out in April. Please email CPEHASA@gmail.com if you are interested in helping out in any capacity.
Running club is a program for K-5th graders held in the spring. Parent volunteers hold running club once a week after school at Chatham on a day that works for them. You can love or hate running to volunteer. Running coach clubs provide all the help you need with ideas for activities, routes, and things that have worked well in the past. Students meet weekly after school and hopefully are able to show off their skills at the annual Maniac Magee Run.
Staff Appreciation Week -
This is the week that we get to show the teachers and staff at Chatham just how much we love them and how grateful we are for all that they do to help our children learn and grow. We provide meals, raffles, faculty room food, etc. Information will go out in April for how you can help celebrate our amazing and talented faculty and staff.
5th Grade Unity Day
This is a party at the end of the school year for Chatham’s 5th graders to meet 5th graders from the other four elementary schools in the district. Students start their day with an abridged “day in the life” of a 6th grader at the middle school and end the day with organized games and social activities.
Make-A-Plate - TBD
This is a fundraiser that happens in February. Forms and a template are sent home for students to design their own plates.
Parents’ Night Out - TBD
This year HASA will be sponsoring a Parents’ Night Out event. This is an opportunity to meet at a local establishment or participate in a specific activity with other Chatham parents.
Mums Sale - Sept. to Oct.
Decorate your porch, and benefit HASA. This is our fall time fundraiser.
Holiday Wreath Sale - December
Launching around the holidays, this wreath sale benefits HASA.
Booster-thon! - Oct. 11
This is a new fun run fundraiser.

Running in the fall, this is the big sale of Chatham Spirit wear -- just in time for holiday gifts.
